Murray Downs boasts its title of Number 1 Golf Course on the Murray River. Ideal for your next group or individual golfing holiday, the championship 18 hole golf course at Murray Downs, a previous winner of Victorian PGA course of the year and consistently voted in the top resort courses around Australia, currently ranked number 44.
The Par 72 course is a striking contrast to the Mallee plains that surround it, experience the pleasure of playing away from the city crowds with river gums in the background. The undulating greens complemented by well-manicured fairways, thoughtful tee positions and pin placements. The course has some great signature holes including the 5th with a long water carry over to the green. Making it a challenging task for those that choose to risk it and hit straight for the hole.
The course does provide some relief on other holes including the other Par 3 11th and 15th. Murray Downs Golf & Country Club is playable to all handicaps, rewarding the great shots and penalising the ones we wish we’d never hit

Immerse yourself into a rare and dramatic mix of coastal holes cleverly routed around Cape Wickham Lighthouse on the northern tip of King Island, with some holes leaning gently toward the ocean (Bass Strait), and others set atop a rocky headland. The 11th is almost “in” the sea and the 18th is built directly above the beautiful beach at Victoria Cove, which comes into play as bunker on the final hole. Few courses in the world, if any, interact with the ocean quite like this.
